Jet classifier introduction
- Oct 01, 2018 -

The jet classifier is a type of dry air classifier, also known as a static classifier or inertia classifier. It is different from a gas classifier with a rotating part (such as a turbine). There is no moving part in the body. The principle is It is derived from the widely known Coanda effect. Therefore, it is also called Coanda Jet Classifier. The classifier body generally forms a grading system with a cyclone separator and/or a filter receiver, an induced draft fan, and the like. The micronized material is broken up under the action of high pressure gas and enters the body of the jet classifier. Under the action of the Coanda effect, the fine particles are close to the Keanda block, the middle particles are in the middle part, and the large particles are away from the Coanda block. Thus, the fine powder particles are instantaneously divided into fine, medium and coarse three stages. It is then recycled separately in the downstream receiver.

The earliest invention of the jet classifier was Professor Rumpf of Karlsruhe University in Laos and Professor Leschonski of Clausthal University. Later, this jet classifier was further developed and applied in Japan and achieved great success. Although there are similar reports in China, it has not been successfully put into practical application. Later, the technology has returned to China. Dr. Guo has invented a patent with practical application value based on the introduction of technology: intelligent airflow control jet classifier, and high-end ultrafine powder. Successful application in the production process of the body, can be found in the visual inspection of the polishing powder production site
